Eon Internship
For the next two weeks, I am being forced by my school to participate some kind of internship with the idea that we need to "get out into the world and work." Luckily, however, I found a place that isn't just Emma Gay Tucson Youth Blog a nine to five boring office that will force me to do paperwork.

I think that interning at the Eon Youth Lounge will be an amazing experience for me because it is such a different environment than what I am used to. It seems that at school (or at least mine) not everyone can express themselves as I think that they should. Not too many people are openly gay, lesbian, bisexual, etc. making it difficult for people to understand diversity.

But growing up for me, this has always been something that has never phased me. My parents alway surrounded me with different types of people, whether they were of a different race or sexual background. Sadly though, I think that the next two weeks will go by fast. But I should be back for more.

Didn’t you momma ever tell you?

Tuesday April 21, in Boston Massachusetts a meeting arranged on Craigslist ended in tragedy. Philip Markoff a 22 year old med student is in custody for murdering the woman who he invited for diner. Currently he is being held without bail. Chris Gay Tucson Youth Blog

And it’s not only hookups that are dangerous it’s anything really when you don’t know the person you are inviting. I put an add on craigslist to sell my computer and one of the people who came to take a look at was extremely over intoxicated. He was sort of violent; I had to end up asking him to leave.

The point to this blog is that us as youth need to be very careful when we meet people off the internet. Yes I admit I have met a couple people off of craigslist and they went well. But it only takes that one time for it all to end.
